Prismatic is a special set with a tiny list of immortal chases. You are underwriting Umbreon and the Eeveelution rainbow. Ascended Heroes is a monster set: 295 cards, 13 Megas, and a Gengar that can carry a box on its own — or not, for 899 other packs.
Hold Prismatic if…
You want one modern sealed SKU that still has a collector religion a year later. Super Premium Collections on reprint dips (see May 7, 2026) are the cleanest expression. You are not trying to pull Gengar. You are storing Eevees.
Hold Ascended Heroes if…
You want 2026-era Mega exposure and you missed MSRP on 30th Celebration. Bundles are the liquid SKU. Boxes only if the number is close to a number you would pay in 2027.
If you can only buy one sealed product this week and you do not already own anniversary preorders, buy the 30th. These two are the bench.
