Why now
Presales alone put it in the May 2026 top 10 before street date. The triptych is a completionist trap in the best way.
Mega Evolution · ME04 · Released May 22, 2026
Chaos Rising
Mega Greninja ex plus a connecting Froakie–Frogadier–Greninja triptych. Smaller set, better individual hit rates.

The play
Buy the Greninja SIR or the full triptych. Opening boxes for fun is closer to break-even than most 2026 sets.
The risk
Main-set syndrome: once Pitch Black and 30th Celebration ate the summer, casual money left. Sealed is closer to fair than Prismatic.
